Hello my loves! You have already noticed that around here we are already in the Christmas mood, right? We’ve separated so many amazing models that you won’t know which one to choose. But why choose if you can do all the patterns? But don’t despair, we still have time. Alvena’s Applique Christmas Quilt is amazing, another beautiful pattern that you will fall in love with.
A very delicate pattern, with many details and one more beautiful than the other. Quilts are part of our daily lives. There’s no one who doesn’t like to snuggle up on the sofa and have a comfortable quilt together. Or leave the room very tidy, combining pillows in similar colors and prints. This quilt is made from appliqués. It can be a little more difficult to sew than traditional cuts because of the curves and smaller details.
Quilting made in blocks is often a repetition of the same design, but this is not the case with this quilt. Here, each block is a different scene. All Christmas characters are present. You see Santa, Snowman, Reindeer, Christmas tree, gifts. Fabric scraps left over from other projects can now be reused in appliqués. The entire quilt was made with more discreet colors, darker tones. If you prefer a more cheerful quilt, with vibrant colors, choose more colorful fabrics.
As there are a lot of details, you can cut them into blocks. Separate the materials for the first one, make all the cutouts and sew. Move to the second block and follow the same steps. Doing it in stages will help you not to mix things up and keep everything organized. At Christmas we want to decorate the whole house and with the quilts it is even easier. In addition to occupying a larger space, with these patterns you can create new pieces as well.
Use a block to make a cushion cover, a scene to make a table runner. You will see that there are many ideas that will arise, one more beautiful than the other. And we want to know what you guys are creating out there, whether to sell or decorate your home.
