The mini quilt is that quick project that you start and finish on the same day, as is the case with the I Heart You pattern. This pattern is very delicate and a great option for special occasions. You can make it as a gift to dear friends on Valentine’s Day. If you want to use it as decoration, it can be a nice table topper for a special dinner.
If you want to increase the length, you will have a beautiful table runner. It may look like it, but hearts are not appliqués. The strips are being sewn with the colors and cutouts of the parts of the hearts. I know it looks complicated and that the strips won’t form anything, I had that impression too.
But in the end, putting everything together the right way, it was a beautiful mini quilt. The bottom of the piece is light, so be sure to wash the fabric chosen for the hearts. This first wash removes excess ink from the fabric, reducing the chance of staining the garment when ready. Wash, iron and start markings to make the cutouts.

Another important tip is to make the markings on the reverse side of the print. As much as the marker is with washable ink, you guarantee that any scratches will not appear on the final piece. The most common hearts are made in red or pink, but feel free to use the color you like best.
